Privacy policy

This policy explains, in plain English, what information Porchlight Sites ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. Porchlight Sites is a brand of Reach Consulting, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

What we collect

• Information you send us. Your name, business name, email, phone number, logo, photos, service list and anything else you send so we can build or update your website.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We see the amount, date, your name and email and the last digits of your card, but never your full card number.
• Public business information. To make website previews and to contact businesses, we use information businesses publish themselves, such as the business name, phone number, service area and services listed on public directories and maps.
• Basic technical data. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.

This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party ad pixels.

How we use it

• To build, host, update and support your website.
• To answer your questions and send you service and billing messages.
• To create website previews for local businesses and to email a business about its preview. Every email offers an easy way to opt out.
• To keep our services secure and to meet legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run Porchlight Sites, such as our payment processor (Stripe), website hosting providers and our email provider, and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep customer information while you are a customer and for as long as we need it afterward for legal, tax and accounting reasons. Previews are taken offline within about 30 days unless the business becomes a customer. If you ask us to stop emailing you, we keep a minimal record of your address only so we don't contact you again.

Your choices

• Stop emails: reply "unsubscribe" to any of our emails, or write to us. We will remove you right away.
• Take down a preview: if we built a preview for your business and you want it removed, tell us and we will remove it.
• Access, correct or delete: ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights. We will not treat you differently for using them.

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to protect information. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
